Working with Children: inside and out



Formulating violence as a response to dysregulated and distressed mental states


The Educational Psychology Association of South Africa (EPASSA) are pleased to invite you to our annual conference.

The conference will run from Friday 25th of May – Sunday 27th of May 2018 at Ububele, Johannesburg.

The title of the conference is “Working with Children: Inside and Out” and presentations will focus on addressing the mental health of children, adolescents and their families in a multitude of contexts in South Africa.

Our aim is to highlight the importance of child and family mental health and education in terms of the future development of children in South Africa.


Topics of workshops and presentations include understanding the children’s act, working with families, violence and working with children and the criminal justice system, childhood disorders, practicing psychology in the community context, working in the school context, the role of the father, the importance of early intervention and many more.
