Tuesday 23 June 2020
Workshop A: (08:00 – 17:00)
The Educational Psychologist working as a medico-legal expert for the court involving personal injury claims. Workshop open to all health care professionals. Speakers include Advocate Heyman (expert witness / joint minutes) , Dr Herman Edeling (traumatic brain injury), Dr Sharon Truter (trauma and the developing brain), Mrs Elmarie Prinsloo (practical work and case studies) and others.
Workshop B: (08:00 – 16:30)
Parental Rights and Responsibilities. Workshop open to all health care professionals. Speakers include Dr Martin Strous (parental rights and responsibilities), Ms Anne-marie Rencken-Wentzel (parenting plans; psycho-legal assessments), Ms Christie Els (parental alienation) and Dr Astrid Martalas (parenting co-ordination).
Wednesday 24 June 2020
Workshop C: (08:00 – 16:30)
Assessment training – Wechsler tests including the WPPSI, WISC and WAIS. Workshop open to all psychologists, psychometrists, intern psychologist and M level psychology students. Presenter: Dr Doret Kirsten.
Workshop D: (08:00 – 16:30)
Introduction to Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. Open to all psychologists, intern psychologists and M level psychology students. Topics include the theoretical underpinnings, the power of language and case studies. Presenters: Dr Elzette Fritz and Ms Joy Nel.
EPASSA Conference Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June 2020.
